Josh Babb joined HIDA in 2013 as Director of Government Affairs focusing on healthcare legislation and strategic communications to help Congress and federal agencies make informed decisions on behalf of healthcare distribution and the supply chain. Josh develops advocacy and external communications resources for members, and runs the HIDA annual Capitol Hill Fly-in where members meet with Members of Congress. He serves as a speaker, facilitator and content expert on a range of legislative and regulatory policies with HIDA membership and industry-related groups. Prior to HIDA, Josh worked on Capitol Hill serving as a Senior Legislative Assistant for Representative Renee Ellmers (R-NC), a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and with Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), the Senate Minority Whip. Josh has a BBA in Management from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, and earned his Master’s in Political Management from George Washington University.
